This week’s musing asks…
- Other than working at a job, what is your biggest interruption to reading?
- What takes you away from your book(s)?

Mostly just myself lol. During the day my little one is at school and my husband is at work. I get a little reading done, but then housework and my college homework calls my name.
Once the little one gets home, it’s school work and Girl Scouts, followed by dinner and house chores lol.
Then the mister comes home & I have to get in my husband time!
I normally find it’s best to read with NO distractions when the both of them are asleep and everything is done.
OH!
Texting. This is my biggest issue. For some reason when I start reading, everyone and their mother wants t text me. I’m not one to ignore anyone; so I respond – and it last forever ahah.

I don't think I've ever sent a text message so that's definitely not something that interrupts my reading.
Here's Mine
I have no problem ignoring a text..or a phone call or a basket of laundry or a supermarket list when I am in the middle of a good book.
but it all catches up.
I'm not a big texter so I'm glad I don't have that one! I find the internet is a huge distraction…'oh I'll just go update my Goodreads'…5 hours later and I've spent £100. Lol.

I LOVE your answer! Family is definitely a welcome distraction – I find that when everyone is asleep is great from reading time for me too! Thank you for sharing! :)

Definitely husband time ~ I don't have kids (in the eyes of many ~ I see my dogs as my 'furry children'), but between them and my husband, I have plenty of distractions from reading :)

I never thought about texting but yes when I start to read everyone texts, calls, or wants to start playing games(Words with Friends, ect.) It never fails and as much as I love them I cant help but think I just want to read! hahahah!

I get in my own way about reading, too. I'm not a texter so I guess I'm lucky I don't have that distraction.

I know exactly what you mean about texting. When you get a text, how can you not reply?!! Then it goes back and forth and you can't really read without having to stop every 2 minutes. Nice post, you have a new follower as well. :) Would love it if you could check out mine <— :)
